In Vihti, the wait for Christmas is a pleasant one. Peace and a bit of frost set the mood, and there's a whole host of delightful, warm-hearted Christmas events on the horizon!
There will be music, treats, bazaars, fun activities and Christmas crafts for charity and for your own enjoyment.
Vihti Sports Services organise a family elves' path, Yoga Monday, a warm candle yoga on the ridge. Go for a Christmas swim in Nummela, drop in on the library's Christmas story time and visit Vihti Vintage's Christmas event in Siippoo.
There are many ways to fill Christmas packages, from small to large bazaars. For example, visit the Vihtijärvi Christmas Market on 3 December or the traditional Women's Fair on 10-11 December, where you'll find more than 100 vendors under one roof. The Small Business Christmas Shop in Vihti Church Village is already open, while the Pop-up Christmas Market in Nummela will open soon. Christmas opening next weekend
Vihti church village's Christmas opening ceremony will be celebrated on Friday 25 November 2022, 18-19:15 at the Kyläaukio square.
Santa Claus and Mrs Claus, along with their entourage, will depart from the bus station at 18.00. The procession will proceed along Niuhalanraitti via the market square to the Kyläaukio square, stopping in front of the future museum. Everyone can join the procession, even from along the way!
The programme includes greetings from SuurVihdin Kilta, Vihti municipality and the parish. Children can play and sing with Väkkärä, and the Vinha Dance School and the Hiiden laulu will perform. The museum will also be open during the event.
The entrepreneurs in Vihti offer rice porridge either to eat straight away or to take away. Santa Claus and Mrs Claus can be met at the village square from 18:20-19:15.
In conjunction with the Christmas opening, you should also visit the traditional Christmas market at the Siirilä Art House from 15 to 20.
In Nummela, the Christmas opening will be celebrated on Saturday 26.11.2022, 15-16.
Vihti Entrepreneurs' Association and Nummela Guild organise a family Christmas party where the Christmas lights are lit on the tree, mulled wine and rice porridge are served and Antti Raiski's music plays. There will be pony rides for children and Santa Claus will be there.
