The Christmas season in Vihti is full of exciting events! You can get into the Christmas spirit in Vihti with Christmas crafts, bazaars, music and food - even running.
Christmas events can be found in the Vihti events calendar at tapahtumat.vihti.fi/vihdin-joulutapahtumat. At the end of next week, there will be, among other things, Christmas openings in the church village and in Nummela.

Vihti Church Village's Christmas opening begins when Santa Claus and the Christmas tree and his procession leave the bus station at 18:00.
The lantern procession, led by Santa Claus and Santa's Moomin, passes through the shopping square to the Village Square. You can join the procession or wait for it to arrive at the museum. You can dress up and take a lantern with you. Don't forget to wear reflectors!
In the village square, Hiidenlaulu and Väkkärällä perform. The programme also includes speeches by the parish and the SuurVihdin Guild. Santa Claus and the Moomin will be available during the event and Vihti's entrepreneurs will be serving rice porridge from 18-19.
The event is organised by the SuurVihti Guild, K-Supermarket Vihti and Vihti VPK.

Before the Christmas opening in the church village at 16-18 at Vihti Museum, a Christmas event will be held at the museum!
At the event you can make traditional Christmas decorations under the guidance of the Hiiumaa School of Crafts and enjoy music performances by Lumo music students and dance performances by Vinha Dance School.
In addition, the museum's café will be open and the event will feature a talk about old-fashioned Finnish Christmas.

Veikko Helle market: Pisteenpolku, Nummela
Nummela's Christmas opening is a family event with mulled wine and rice pudding and a pony ride for the children. Santa Claus will be there too!
In keeping with tradition, the event will also include the lighting of Christmas lights on the tree provided by the Nummela Guild in the market. The event will be hosted by Anna-Liisa Tilus.
The event is organised in cooperation with Vihti Entrepreneurs and Nummela Guild.

The traditional Christmas Spirit Fair will be held on Saturday 30.11. and Sunday 1.12. in Nummela, at the premises of Länsi-Uusimaa Education Consortium Luksia. The long-running market event will feature a large number of vendors and lots of wonderful products to give as gifts or to celebrate your own Christmas.
The market will be accompanied by a programme for adults and children alike. There will be a children's workshop and face painting, and Santa Claus will also be around from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The opening will be accompanied by the Sonante orchestra from the Palmu Music School, and on Sunday at 12 noon, the auditorium will be filled with joyful Christmas carols performed and sung together.
The opening ceremony of the event will take place on Saturday at 10 am in the Luksia gym. The opening ceremony will be addressed by Mika Herpiö, Vihti's Director of Vitality, Eero Hillman, Vice Rector of Luksia and Juha Pohjala, President of the Lions Club Vihti. The event is organised by Lions Club Vihti in cooperation with Luksia.
