The revamped Vihti Race adventure will be held on Saturday 9 September 2023. The adventure comprises both the traditional and challenging competitive category and the versatile and fun recreational category that is suitable for all ages added newly this year. A race centre will be opened at the Hiidenkirnu stadium, where audience can come and cheer on their favourites and learn more about local fitness and exercise services.

The event is intended to increase awareness of Vihti and its versatile exercise services and recreational opportunities and to bring together fitness enthusiasts, adventurous sportspeople, and competitors of all ages, who are interested in fun group activities. The format of the event has been changed for this year to foster the traditions of the popular adventure sports event, to extend its reach, and to offer each participant more interesting and challenging experiences. The event is organized by the municipality of Vihti, and the revamped adventure categories have been designed by Liikuttava Vihti, a team consisting of experienced event organizers Juha Uusitalo and Henrikki Halme.

The competitive category is open for small teams, and the race time is 12 hours. During the day, competitors move through the course on bicycles, facing versatile challenges and activities intended to test their physical fitness and mental endurance. The new recreational category offers a great way to spend a day in the magnificent nature of Vihti, completing fun activities together and learning more about the versatile recreational opportunities in Vihti. The recreational category offers a four-hour adventure with a mass start. The participants can complete the adventure on bikes at their own speed and based on their own interests. Teams of all ages can register for the family category, which also accepts registrations on the day of the event.

The organisers of Vihti Race are also seeking partners, who would be interested in supporting the event and its organisation. Partners will be highlighted during the event and in its marketing and in addition to visibility, they will have the opportunity to participate in the creation of unforgettable experiences. Partners can contribute to the event in various ways, such as by offering products and services for the participants, take part in the design and implementation of challenges and tasks, or by hosting a stand at the race center.

Registration will be open for participants later in the spring, and more information about the race will be published on the Facebook page and website of the event in early April. A briefing for existing and aspiring partners will be held at the municipal hall of Vihti on Wednesday, April 12 at 18:00. The Vihti Race adventure will take place on Saturday 9.9.2023, with a new version of the traditional and challenging race series for all adventurous people and a new varied and fun excursion series for all ages. The adventure series will be accompanied by a race centre at the Nummela baseball field, where the public can come to discover the sports facilities in Vihti and cheer on their favourites to victory.

The aim of the event is to promote Vihti and its diverse sports services and activities and to bring together active movers, adventurous sports enthusiasts, but also racers of all ages interested in fun and joyful activities together. The renewal of the event aims to preserve the tradition of the popular adventure event, increase its visibility and provide more interesting and challenging experiences for all participants. Vihti Municipality is the organiser of the event and the new adventure series will be organised by Liikuttava Vihti, a team of experienced event organisers Juha Uusitalo and Henrikki Halme.

The new series of excursions, on the other hand, offers a great way to spend a day outdoors in Vihti's stunning nature, doing things together and exploring Vihti's diverse range of activities. The hiking series is a 4-hour adventure with a group outing. You cycle at your own pace, according to your own interests. Teams of all ages can participate in the family series, which can also be registered on the day of the race.

Vihti Race is also looking for partners who want to be involved in supporting the event and its organisation. Partners will gain visibility in the event and its marketing, as well as the opportunity to be involved in creating memorable experiences for participants. Partners have a variety of opportunities to be involved in the event; such as providing products or services to participants, helping to run challenges and activities, or bringing their own stand to the event centre.

Registration for the competition will open later in the spring, and more information about the competition will be published on the event's Facebook page and website in early April.
