Nuuksio: Lake Valklampi
From Valklampi you can reach the quieter, western side of Nuuksio National Park.
From Valklampi you can start the 3.9 km Klassarinkirunde, head to the beautiful scenery of Saarilampi or continue to the starting point of Kattila. The route to Kattila is also accessible by bike.
Valklampi has two parking areas, Valklampi and Kurjolampi, and they are located close to each other. The areas have a total capacity of 47 cars and both have signposts. Valklampi is accessible from Tervalampi in Vihti and Veikkola in Kirkkonummi.

Classical tour and Saarijärvi
The parking areas provide direct access to the 3.9 km-long Classic Circuit ring road. The route is marked in purple. The Klassarinkirroku trail runs through the fir forest, along the shores of Saarilampi and on top of the Klassarinkallido.
The route includes a few steep climbs, so the Classic Tour is not recommended for beginners. It takes about two hours to complete the Classic Circuit. There is no winter maintenance on the route.
There is no campsite or campfire site on the Klassarinkirroku, but just off the Klassarinkirroku there is a campfire site and a dry latrine in the Saarilampi camping area.
White Lake services
Right next to the parking areas is the Polku Hotel, offering accommodation, meeting and restaurant services. The company rents out a lakeside sauna and home on the shores of Kurjolampi Lake and organises camp dinners, brunches and events for non-hotel guests.
On the southern shore of Saarilampi is the Tikankolo cottage for rent from Natura Viva, and on the northern shore is the free camping area of Saarilampi, which also has a campfire ring and a dry latrine.
Remember the hiking etiquette in Nuuksio
- Respect nature.
- Prefer marked routes.
- Camp only in authorised areas.
- Only come to authorised places.
- Don't litter.
